Ed was a wonderfully supportive human being. He recognized what it was that you were good at, gave you credit for it, and encouraged you to pursue it to the best of your ability. I considered him a friend, and will miss him always. -- Jim Snowbarger

I taught with Ed at WCC, and he helped me in a difficult situation. I had dropped a student for lack of attendance, and he was "hopping mad." He said he was a veteran and claimed medical problems. Ed found out and called me into his office. He advised me to stay calm and not be intimidated. That gave me the courage to get through it.

I worked with Ed at WCC until he retired and he was a regular member of our Friday breakfast club. I always enjoyed his stories of being on the radio and his time in the classroom. I had a lot of respect for Ed and miss his insights and humor.
