So sorry for your loss.

It is a loss for all of us who knew him. I still remember his words to me as we were discussing options over the phone with a team working through bringing the railroad waybilling center system back online - "Be kind and gentle". Those words stayed with me always. In times of stress - he was always calming. I became a better leader years later because of him.

I remember Eddie pulling my car from a snow bank with his jeep back in high school. He was just an all around great guy.

I had the privilege of working with Ed at JCP and appreciated the curious, thoughtful, and warm engagement he brought every day (see pic of him embracing a welcome ritual during a visit to India). He will be missed. My heart goes out to his family.

The way he talked about his relationship with his wife and kids had an immeasurable effect on me at a critical turning point in my life. I am forever grateful to him and for knowing him.

I served on the Bishop Dunne board and shared roots from Arkansas with Eddie. He will be missed. His kindness and ability to listen and lead were gifts. All who knew and worked with him are blessed - may he RIP.

I feel so blessed to have known Eddie. He is truly one of the good ones that God put on this earth. We were best friends at Christ the King. I tell my kids about him all of the time. Even though they didn't know him, they tell me that they feel like they did based on all of my stories. They always said that he sounds amazing, and he was. We formed the 1-2 pitching due for the CTK (green machine) baseball team. Then we played on the O-line next to each other on the Southside football team and made all-region together our senior year. I too grew up at the Robben house with Marge, Tina and all of the sisters. Going over to his house after Midnight Mass and having Marge feed us, going to the CTK carnival together and throwing our arms out at the dunking booth, and many sleepovers at the big house on "T" street are things that are etched in my memory. We kept in touch throughout the years, although Eddie was much better at that than I was. He was so proud of Johanna and the girls, and he always wanted to know about my family.

Rest in Peace Eddie. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Johanna and the girls, and to all of the sisters.

I had the pleasure of working with Ed at Fossil more than a decade to go, and he was the most enjoyable person. He was a really good boss who made time for everyone and had the patience of a true leader. Lifting up prayers for Ed´s eternal salvation, and for Joanna and his family.

Eddie was like a big brother to me because of my close friend, Tina. Many overnight´s at her house, Eddie was in charge of us, he really wanted us to leave him alone. Fun times at CTK and Southside High. Eddie was a good man and brother to his sisters and a loving son to his beloved Mom for whom he greeted in heaven with our Lord.

My heart is broken for Ed´s family. I met and worked with Ed through The Feld Group for many years. He was brilliant, kind and compassionate. He will be sorely missed.

My sympathies to you all. I have very fond memories of working with Ed at JCP including this trip to Hong Kong. He was one of the good ones. I´m better for having had the chance to know him.

I´m so saddened to hear about Ed´s passing. He was one of the kindest and most genuine people I´ve ever met-always quick with a smile and a thoughtful word. I truly enjoyed our conversations, whether at industry events or during the occasional run-in at a local restaurant. Ed carried himself with such integrity and warmth. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

Ed had a unique way of making every person around him feel like the most important person in the room. God had a really influential "man on the ground" down here on earth, and now Ed's been called home. Well done, good and faithful servant.

I worked with Ed on several Feld group engagements, he was always a supportive co-worker. When we worked together in Baltimore when the day ended we would go somewhere to dinner.

I first met Ed back when we were at Burlington Northern, and was impressed with his positivity, camaraderie, and his love of running (something I could never do). I always felt lucky to be a part of his team, and he taught me a lot about staying calm under pressure, which I still utilize to this day. Deepest condolences and please know that Joanna and the family are in my thoughts.

The world has lost one of the good ones. He was so loved by his family and friends. I practically grew up at the Robben home; lots of great memories of Eddie as a kid. He is certainly gone way too soon. Love to all of his family and prayers for all at this very difficult time. RIP Eddie.

So blessed and thankful to know and work with Ed on multiple occasions. Such a great man and friend. He was a man of many talents including being the foremost connoisseur of bread pudding. Our loss is heaven´s gain.

Joanna, I liked to go to mass on Fridays at noon while we lived in Coppell and saw him there many times. He was always very sweet and your family always seemed to be having fun whatever y´all were doing. Blessings to all of you.

Having been acquaintance's over the years running into Ed and Joanna around Coppell or St Ann's, your family prospered and always struck me as such a happy and love filled family. So devastated to hear the loss of someone so young with so much to live for. I count myself blessed to have been another of Eddie´s brothers from another mother. Marge and Tina and Eddie were loving enough to take me into their home my junior year of high school when I had nowhere to live. Eddie and Steve Daniels (the third of the Brothers Joe) were a sail and a rudder in a difficult life. Eddie continued to be a great friend through college where he helped me find my own wings. We enjoyed our occasional times together through our adult life, when it seemed liked we´d just been apart a few days.

I am forever grateful to the Robben family. I don´t often hear of a boy who learned to be a man from another boy, but I will say that this is indeed my story.
