Edward SANDGREN Obituary
December 14, 1923 - January 25, 2015
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Edward Sandgren at the age of 91.
Edward is survived by his sisters, Evelyn (Roy) Embley, Verna (Wilf) Hammond, Selma (Bernard) Hink, and brother, Orval (Olive). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and one sister-in-law, Beatrice. Edward is predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Mabel and two brothers, Allan and Ken.
Edward was born in Dauphin, MB. He served in the RCAF during WWII after which he moved to Edmonton and pursued a career with Canada Post as a mail carrier until his retirement in 1986. Edward passed away peacefully in hospital with family at his side.
The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by the Venta Care Centre as well as the Sturgeon and Royal Alexandra Hospitals.
Following cremation, a private interment will take place in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in the Spring. In lieu of other tributes, donations can be made to The Lung Association, AB & NWT, PO Box 4500, Station South, Edmonton, AB T6E 6K2. To all who knew him, Edward was a soft spoken, gentle man who will be missed.
