Edward Scheidler Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 17, 2025.
March 29, 1956 - January 15, 2025

Edward John Scheidler passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Born on March 29, 1956, in Hellertown, PA, to Gloria and William Scheidler, Ed was a proud graduate of Lehigh University and built a successful career as an engineer. He enjoyed solving complex problems, a reflection of his sharp mind.

Ed was known not only for his determination and drive, but also for his warmth and contagious laughter, which could brighten even the toughest days. He had a deep passion for the things he loved most, including his family and Philadelphia sports teams.

He is survived by his children, Michael Scheidler (Jackie) and Stephanie Baker (Travis); his beloved grandchildren, Cason and Cole Baker; his mother, Gloria Scheidler; and his siblings, Bill Scheidler (Mary) and Carol Sikora (Rick). He was preceded in death by his father, William Scheidler.

Ed's intelligence, warmth, and unforgettable laughter will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.

It is halftime of Super Bowl 59 as I write this. We should be on the phone now discussing the first half of the game, and catching up. I have great memories of all the things we did, and how we survived some questionable choices! I miss you my friend. Rest in peace Fast Eddie.

It is half time of Super Bowl 59. We´d be on the phone together discussing the game, at this point, happily. I think about all the time we spent just hanging out, and how we survived some of our choices! Great like memories with you. I miss my friend. Rest in peace Fast Eddie.

He had a sharp mind, a keen Philly sense of humor and a three hundred yard swing. A good friend to all and will be missed.

Very sad to hear of Ed´s passing. I was a classmate of Ed at Becahi. Spent man fun days with him talking at the cafeteria lunch table with Gerry Yasko, Sue Grimmer, and Mary Knipe. He always was witty, funny, and kind. We were all blessed to know him. Much sympathy to his family, Cindy Barna Himpler
