Edward Arthur Sharpless

I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Sharpless. My fondest memories of him are about how much fun he was, how kind he was, and how connected our two families were. I still feel that connection to this day. I always believed we had found a second family in the Sharplesses. I am sending healing thoughts and prayers your way. May you be blessed by and find comfort in all the wonderful memories you have of him.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dr. Sharpless. I worked for Dr. Sharpless for six years at Wesley Long Hospital, and we became very good friends during that time. He was an amazing man and boss. I will always have fond memories of him.

I was so sorry to hear about Dr. Sharpless. How fortunate I feel to have had the opportunity to know and spend many wonderful times with Dr. Sharpless and his family. He and his family hold a special place in my heart for all the ways they embraced my family through the years and all the fun and adventures we had together. Dr. Sharpless and his family are in my thoughts and prayers. May you find comfort in all the wonderful people, memories, love that surround you.

Although it has been many years since seeing Dr. Sharpless, I am so grateful for the impact that he made in my life. He was a boss, a teacher but most of all a friend to so many of us working in the lab. We had some wonderful times.

Ted was a kind, outgoing, sensitive, loving, unassuming personality and something of a "Renaissance Man" in that he was interested and involved in so many aspects of life. His grandchildren have received a wonderful legacy as a result of his professionalism and his zest for living. He was a loved and revered member of our "extended family" and will always be a part of our fondest memories. We send our love and prayers for comfort and strength to all his family and friends.

Alice, I'm so sorry. Just read on facebook. Didn't have any idea. Wish I could be there tomorrow at 11 but I'll be somewhere between ortho and drivers ed. Just wanted to let you know I"m thinking of you.

As a young child, I remembering running through the Sharpless' home playing with the other kids and with Dr. Sharpless. He would scare us during a fabulous game of hide-and-go-seek. He also made us mind our manners at the dinner table. My thoughts are with the family and Dr. Sharpless will always be alive in my memory!

How sad it was to hear the news of Dr. Ted's passing. The family and Ted will be in our prayers now and in the future. We still treasure the great times we spent with him, Dr. Martha and their wonderful family. Such a great, giving family will be forever blest.
