Edward Solomon Obituary
Born in Pittsburgh in 1927 and died July 1, 2008; Son of the late Edward and Hilda Solomon. Grandson of the late Max and Amelia Solomon of Beaver Falls and Pittsburgh, PA. He is survived by a daughter Susan Solomon of California, a son Edward Solomon III of Pittsburgh, two granddaughters, former wife Dolores and a brother Max Solomon II of Pittsburgh. Ed graduated from Shadyside Academy and served in the Naval Air Corps. In 1950, he bought and expanded Mercer Lime & Stone Company and served as CEO for 30 years. Friends may meet at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Thursday at 1 PM and then proceed to West View Cemetery of Rodef Shalom Congregation for 2PM Graveside Services. Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
