Edward Storey Obituary
Born on September 11, 1935, in Lewiston, Idaho, to Nola Caroline Coffin and Ira Edgar Storey, Ed served as a U.S. Navy pilot and line officer, later working with the Joint Chiefs of Staff and U.S. Naval Forces Europe. He received the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for Heroism in 1978 for rescuing neighbors from a house fire in the United Kingdom. After retiring as a Commander in 1980, he continued a civilian career in communications and satellite work.
He is survived by his wife Ann; children Helen Storey, Bruce Storey (Lindsay), and Sally Palafox (Riley); six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and extended family. He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Peter Storey.
Ed will be remembered for his devotion to family, distinguished Navy service, and lifelong love of flying.
A graveside service at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
