Susan and family,
I lost touch with Ed a couple years after College. We went to Framingham State together. He had a wonderful way of reaching out to people and making everyone feel special! I just came across a letter he wrote me in July of 1975 when he was going to come visit for a James Taylor concert at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA. (He kidded around saying my BF had his permission to join us also. Loved his sense of humor!) My home town is Lee, MA, right beside Lenox, so I went often. He was a Tennis coach at the time and had lost his assistant so never made it since he had to work on Tuesday nights which was when James Taylor played. I am living in Virginia now and was looking in my photo album for a picture my daughter asked me for and came across that letter. So so sorry for your loss. I'm sure you and the family miss him every day! He was such a bright shining star and I know he is looking down on everyone now and covering you all in prayer.

I'm sorry to hear about Ed's passing. I had the privilege of working with him at MassMutual. His positive attitude was contagious. We managed to work hard and have fun
when he was around! Vera Scanlon

Dear Sue, Heather, Jen and family, I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of a great man and father. Ed was the kind of person who was always supportive, gave of himself, and enjoyed the company of good friends and family. He was truly an inspiration to his children and grandchildren. Ed will be greatly missed and I pray for the good Lord to wrap his loving arms around all of you especially Sue, Heather and Jen as you go through this most difficult life changing time. His memory will live on in all of us and one day you will be reunited with him. For now find comfort in knowing he is with you watching over you and sharing love. Betty Scanlon

Dear Sue, Heather and Jen:
We are deeply sadden by the loss of Ed.
He was a good man. We remember many days sitting at hot pools cheering on our kids and having get together at your house after swim meet. I know he will be missed.

Dear Sue, Heather and Jen:
We are so sorry to hear of Ed's passing.
We shared many good laughs at the very hot pools cheering our kids on. Ed was always there to help in any capacity.
He was a good man.

It was a privilege to work with and eventually for Ed at MassMutual and consider him as a friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family.

Mrs. Superson (known to introduce herself as in" Superman's son"), Heather and Jennifer... I can't begin to express my sympathy. I just remember great times on Marci. I remember Mr. Superson telling me, after Mrs. Superson bought a yellow Volkswagen bug, that I could take it for a ride (if I knew how to drive a stick shift). He actually told me this while wearing a safari hat and boots in the driveway (I think he was landscaping). My Mom and Your Mom met on Plumtree while strolling Heather and I (Springfield, MA) 1984 and started an amazing and life long relationship. Your Dad will be happy to know that your Mom, Sue Superson and my Mom, Betty Scanlon still hang like it was 1984. I have so much love in my heart for your family and I miss your Dad deeply. --Michael James Scanlon
