With Mr. Swansons' passing ends an era in funeral service that few of us had the honor and privilege to experience. He was truly a people person and understood how important it is to build personal relationships. His stories and satires always kept us smiling. I will think of him often.

We are sadden to read the passing of ED. Whenever Ed would see us in the yard,he would stop always asking about our Shih tzu's, Bear and Lucky and he always had his doggy Lucy with him. What a wonderful person and a great Mayor Ed was. He will be dearly missed. Our condolences go out to Elaine and family. R.I.P. Ed

Ed was a lovable and humorous man! The City was lucky to have Ed as both an Ambassador and then as our long term Mayor. We all need more men like Mayor Swanson.
Patti and I pass on our sincere condolences to Elaine, Dennis and family over their loss. We know that the legacy of his humorous anecdotes will make the family laugh for years to come.

Our sympathies to the Swanson family. We knew Ed through the Viper club. We live in the UP. Ed&Elaine drove up to Escanaba one year to an event we used to do up here. I'm glad our paths got to cross with his several times over the years. Ed was a very nice man!

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

We are saddened by Ed's passing. We will always remember him as a fun and funny guy. From the first time we met him at a Model T event .
He was always cracking jokes and making us laugh, like a stand-up comedian,
just kept us in stitches. Everyone loved Ed . He was an all around great guy. Haven't seen him much in the recent past , but every time we did see him he was ready with a big smile and hugs. We know he will be missed by many especially by Elaine and his family . love to you all, Les and Earline Berndt
