Edward Tuttle Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Sep. 7 to Sep. 9, 2023.
Edward (Ned) Bartlett Tuttle passed away on September 4, 2023 after a brief fight with lung cancer. Ned was born in New Haven, Connecticut to Winslow and Sybil Tuttle on September 12, 1958. He grew up in Connecticut until he was 10 years old when his family moved to Texas. He graduated high school in Amarillo and went on to study business in college. Ned met his wife and love of his life while working in Amarillo, and after moving to Houston, TX, they went on to establish and grow their own computer services company together.

Ned enjoyed spending time talking and joking around with his wife, three daughters, and 6 grandchildren. He loved fishing and bird hunting with his father and brother throughout Texas, in Argentina, and in Belize. Ned also loved to plan family vacations/reunions to get the whole extended family together annually, as he loved his entire family dearly. Ned was an avid reader and political researcher, and he loved taking his dogs on early morning walks at the park - he was known as "The Dog Man" to fellow park walkers and around the neighborhood. He would often get, "I know who you are, you're 'The Dog Man'."

Ned is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Kytrena Tuttle; his daughters, Kristin Tuttle, Jessica Duckett, and Tracy Tuttle; and his father, Winslow Tuttle; brother, Win Tuttle; and sister, Virginia Johnson.

Ned's family wishes to thank his many friends who gave such loving support during his life and illness. A service to celebrate Ned's life will be held on Saturday, September 9th.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an organization that he passionately supported during his life, Veterans and Patriots United, which serves as transitional housing and professional counseling for homeless veterans in Huntsville, Texas: www.veteranspatriotsunited.org

My heart is hurting at the news that we are here in this world without Ned. Ned was so kind to me and to so many others. He was a wonderful boss. I learned so much from him. Ned had a silly side and it was always a good day for me when i could make Ned laugh! Ned was a good man who loved his family. May he rest in peace with our heavenly FATHER. May the memories of all the moments in time with Ned comfort and bring peace to his family.

I fished with Ned, his brother Win and other fine fishermen for 10 years at Lake Guerrero in Mexico. Some of my fondest memories emanate from those trips and I am well-acquainted with Ned's satisfying grin while holding a nice bass he just caught. Ned and Win were and are expert fishermen and their bond as brothers was always evident when they were together. Rest in peace, Ned, and my sincerest condolences to your family and friends that loved you.
