Ed was passionate about 3 things: his family, his state and playing Dixie land jazz on his banjo. In all the things I have seen written, this source of his inspiration, inspiring others is missed. This most angel is playing a stringed instrument, a banjo!

God Bless you Ed you will not be forgotten. Today it was announced that another small Kansas town Marquette is losing the last remaining school. My first thoughts reading the article was of Ed and his family.
I know how much ed cared about his hometown of Chanute and Neosho County.

So sorry to hear about Ed! I knew him in the 70's when I worked for the Clerk of the Dist. Court and then saw him several times in Jo Co Ks at the clerks office, where I worked. My sympathy to all his Family and Friends!

while I didn't know Ed that long, I served with him on the Judiciary Committee and thoroughly enjoyed visiting with him about Chanute. He obviously loved his home town and was so proud of it. I am a widow so I know what you all are going through and you will have support through your family. I am sorry that I won't be able to attend the service. God Speed, Ed.
