Edwin Britt Obituary
Ed retired from Porter Paint where he had worked over 30 years of service. Ed was a member of Victory Memorial Baptist Church. He also was a decorated U.S. Army Veteran of WWII stationed in Germany under direction of General George Patton.
Ed attended agricultural school after returning from the service.
Ed is survived by his wife Ruby Louise Britt with over 64 years of marriage; sons Wayne Britt (Paula) & David Britt (Sandy), daughter, Pamela Hodge (Jack); sister Emogene Williams; seven grandchildren & nine great grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be conducted at O.D. White & Sons 2727 S. Third Street Wednesday, June 6, 2012 with entombment at Evergreen Cemetery 4623 Preston Highway. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 5, 2012 between 1-8PM

Mr. Britt is a family relative that I never knew, but I fondly remember his father Beckham, who often visited our home in South Louisville during the post war days..
As painful as it surely is, I'm know your loving memories of Edwin's life and God's grace will sustain you throughout the days of grief and sorrow from the loss of this good man. God Bless you all.

I am so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. I worked with him at Porter Paint. When they had the company picnics, he would always look me up and say hello. I have some very fond memories of him. My prayers are with the family because Ed is definitely in a better place now.

I worked with Ed many years ago at Porter Paints. Those of us who still work here and remember him speak of him often with fond memories. I feel privileged to have known him. I pray that Ed's family will feel the loving arms of Jesus to carry them through their grief.
