I first met Ed when I was working for Sal Bonafede. I had put my contact lens in my mouth to clean it (bad!) and Sal startled me and I sucked the lens into my throat. Sal rushed me to Ed´s office to try to retrieve it. Alas, it was gone but I gained the best eye doc around - and boy did I get a lecture about contact cleaning! He was the most kind, gentle man and I was fortunate to get to know him personally over the years. Always lighting up the room, no one can ever replace him. He will be missed by all who crossed his path. I send my love to Claire and all his family.
