Dear Helen and family,

I was so sad to hear about Ed's passing. Then I thought back to last summer at the "Block" reunion which I was so lucky to be able to attend and at the same time to have a chat with Ed. One can learn from such a man, who looked at the bright side of life with his caring attitude. Helen you were a wonderful caregiver and I admire you so much. My thoughts are with you and I know that the wonderful life that you shared as a couple will keep you strong as you look back on those years together. My kindest regards

My sympathies to the Janzen family, especially Gerald and Lorraine and family as you mourn the loss of a very gracious person. Ed was an example to many of how strong his faith was and the determination to do as much as he could with his limitations. May your faith help you through this very difficult time.

I am so very sorry for your loss Helen and for your family as well. My memories of "Mr Janzen" are from my school day's, a kind, gentle, caring man. All students who were blessed enough to have him as their teacher are the richer for it. May God's peace comfort you and your family.

My condolences to the family of Ed. I always admired Ed and Helen for their positive attitude. Wherever and whenever one saw them, they had a smile and a friendly greeting for all. May your deep faith and the realization that you have hundreds of friends who grieve with you sustain you in the hours, days and years ahead.

Dear Janzen family: Although most of you have never met me or know me, we used to play with Edwin & Elnora in our childhood. Your parents visited my parents, Henry Krause's. We lived near your grandmother, Aunt & Uncles in the Eigenheim District. Reading Edwin's name in the Obituaries, brought back many memories. May you find Comfort as you too, remember all the good times you have spent with Edwin.
