Edwin C. Kane, 77, of Little Rock, AR, went to join his wife, Susie Gilmore Kane, on December 15, 2009. Eddie was born March 7, 1932 in New Orleans, LA to John Edwin and Jessie Cuevas Kane. Eddie was preceded in death by his wife, of 52 years, Hildegarde( Susie) Gilmore Kane. He is survived by his children, Steve (Charlene) Kane, Alan (Marcy)Kane, and Sandra(David) Copeland, his sister Carole (George) Wilson, his grandchildren, Ryan (Melissa) Massey, Blake Massey, Lauren Massey, Christian Bilheimer and Lauren Bilheimer . Following his graduation from the University of Arkansas, Eddie began his career as the first management trainee at First National Bank in Little Rock. Over the next 29 years he experienced every area of the bank working his way up to Chairman and CEO of First Commercial Bank. He left behind many great memories from Riverdale CC to PVCC, from Eden Isle to Destin, from Oaklawn to Maui for his family and friends to enjoy. Thanks for the memories. Come share your memories with us as we send Eddie on his final vacation. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 11:00AM at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th St. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery. A special thanks is extended to the staff at Parkway Health Center for the professional care and compassion that they showed to Eddie during his stay. Memorials can be made to your favorite charity.
