Mary Helen, I just learned of Dr. Ed's death. He was my dad's and my doctor for many years. I'll always remember his infectious smile. Prayers for you and all the family from ours.

Dr Ed Sr was my physician at birth. Dr Ed Jr was my doctor as a boy and as an adult until his retirement about 1994. I've been with Dr Frank since then (my wife with Dr Cherie). I remember Dr Ed as a very caring, capable, and considerate person. I remember him making a house call when I was sick as a young teen at home in the 50s. He was the doctor to our 4 children in the 70s and 80s. He led such a full and productive life doing so much, yet he and Mary raised 8 children. I cannot even imagine how many peoples' lives were so touched by the Mueller family from Ed Sr, Ed Jr, and all of their children and family to this day. What a wonderful Christian family. My wife, kids, my mom who died in 2006, and I are so blessed by our times with the Mueller family. I will never forget the time when Dr Ed, Mary, Dr Frank, and Dr Cherie came to visit my mom when she was in hospice, and took the time to play Chicken Foot (Mom won). Dr Ed's legacy lives on through all who he touched. Mary, you are in our prayers.

Dr Ed was my doctor from ages 2 till 19 when I started seeing his daughter-in-law Dr Cherie, and she's been my doctor for 29 years. Dr Ed's father was there when my parents were born in the 1940's. I will be with the Muellers till they retire (which I hope is a very long time from now). From a child's view, I'll always remember Dr Ed as being this short bald guy who was always wise and funny. He always took good care of my whole family many of whom still see Drs Frank & Cherie. I especially love that Dr Ed & his wife & Dr Frank went to visit my grandma, Mildred Smalley (who was almost 91), the last month she was living 10 years ago. I'll always treasure that photo my dad gave me of all of them. And even though I hadn't seen Dr Ed in many years, I'm so happy I was able to talk with him at my grandma's memorial service.

To all the Muellers: Your Dad has been a true father to my sister, Melanie. She has loved him as though he was indeed her own father. Though my own experiences with Dr. Mueller have been few, I remember him as a gracious, warm, kind, and generous man. One of my fondest memories of him was the tour he gave me of the Boerne ranch as well as the introductions to his four-legged residents, all by name, of course. His fine qualities shine through every one of his children. Your father has been and will continue to be in my prayers. It goes without saying that Mrs. Mueller will be in my prayers as well. I am so very sorry for your loss, your pain.
Christ's peace to each and every one of you!

My family first met Dr. Mueller in 1954. He delivered 3 of our 5 children, made three trips to our home when the children were sick and I will always be grateful to him for his care in our time of need. When our daughter needed surgery, I'll never forget seeing him with a rosary in his hands before he went into the operating room. After years of not seeing Dr. Mueller, we were so surprised when he walked up to us at the Visitation for my husband, Gabriel Sr., when he passed away. His thoughtfulness touched our hearts. Our deepest condolences to Mary and her family.

To the family of Dr. Edwin Lee Mueller:

I did not know Dr. Mueller, but I did get the opportunity to meet two of his sons, Tom and Frank, on a pilgrimage trip to Ireland with Father Jim Barlow from St. Luke Catholic Church in 2013. They helped me out with a horrific migraine during the trip -- THANKS! I offer my deepest sympathy and condolences to Tom and Frank and all of the Mueller Family. May your dad rest in peace and enjoy his eternal reward. I am sure he was a wonderful man and doctor. Sincerely, Theresa Wilson

My condolences to the Mueller family. Their smiles are the best memory, especially every January 6th. They would light the way. And I will never forget the day the actress Paula Prentiss, her husband Richard Benjamin, and her father Dr Thomas Ragusa were able to meet the senior Dr Mueller at the IW Retirement Center. He delivered Paula at Santa Rosa in 1938. She also had a reunion with her first babysitter, Margaret Fuchs.

Mary Ann and I extend our deepest sympathies. The Muellers have always been like a second family. We went to church together and were in many organizations. Tommy and I were in scouts. My brother and his brother were also in scouts and went to Philmont. Doc Mueller would give our Summer Camp physicals for free.
We were in the Alhambra and enjoyed each other's company at the annual skeet shoot where the doc would be seen with his shotgun. And the Oblate Associates where he and his wife, or Mom as I call her, would attend first Friday mass. Doc Muller was of a different generation where men took care of their families unconditionally, provided as best able, and raised their kids right. His entire family should be proud of having him in their lives.

Mary Mueller, Dr. Frank and Mueller Family, Richard & I extend our deepest sympathy on your great loss. Dr. Ed was the most wonderful, caring family doctor and we will always be grateful for the many years that he took care of our health needs. I became his patient in 1957 and stayed with him until he retired. Richard and our sons, Michael & John and I loved him for the wonderful human being that he was. Dr. Mueller was one of the nicest men I ever knew. My mother was a patient of all three generations. She'll be 102 this month as a testimonial to their good care. I haven't seen Dr. Mueller in over 40 years and I still remember him making house calls and a stick of Juicy Fruit gum when you left the office. Wishing peace to his family.

Words could never express my family's appreciation to Dr. Mueller. He deliver three of my siblings as well as myself. I still remember all the doctor visits, shots, emergency room visits and my mom being told why put us in the hospital when she would do better in taking care of us. Dr. Mueller was understanding, caring and giving to the point all you could do is love him. Thank you Dr. Mueller dance with the angels as you have always been one.

My family had the privilege of knowing Dr. Mueller and his family for many, many years, as they were once our neighbors in Boerne. What an amazing man he was, and what accomplishments he leaves behind, from all the patients he treated to his wonderful family. We are sending our love and prayers for comfort to Mary and the family. God bless you, Dr. Mueller!
