Graveside service for Effie Morgan McNalley, 90, of Decatur will be today, May 28, 2009, at 4 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Newman and the Rev. Carl Maynard officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. McNalley, who died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Riverside Senior Living, was born Nov. 25, 1918, in Falkville to Mark Kingston Morgan and Lindy Jane Derrick Morgan. She was a devoted homemaker. She was a longtime member of Oak Park Church of God. Effie loved sewing, gardening, family and church activities. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Royce Melton McNalley; four brothers and seven sisters.
Survivors include four daughters, Gay McNalley Barran and her husband, Lee, Katrina McNalley Hargrave, Mavis McNalley McKee and her husband, Ronnie, and Dona McNalley Emens and her husband, Jon; two brothers, Fred K. Morgan and his wife, Lera, and Sidney Morgan; six grandchildren, Traci Sittason Watts and her husband, Scott, Emmette Barran and his wife, Jill, George Barran and his wife, Brooke, Jeff Hargrave and his wife, Elizabeth, Jaclyn Hargrave Arnold and her husband, Joey, and R.J. McKee; and nine great-grandchildren, Barran Watts, Henry Watts, Shine Barran, Rivers Barran, Taylor Barran, Hudson Hargrave, Meryl Anne Hargrave, Emakay Arnold and Anabelle Arnold.
Pallbearers will be Emmette Barran, Scott Watts, George Barran, Jeff Hargrave, Joey Arnold and R.J. McKee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley or to your favorite charity.
