Eileen Lopez

Eileen Lopez, 69, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, in Alamo, California. Born on November 1, 1955, in Akron, Ohio, Eileen lived a life marked by grace, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Eileen pursued her education at Akron University in her hometown of Akron, Ohio, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Her professional journey led her into the world of retail and commercial real estate management. With dedication and leadership, she rose through the ranks to become the Director of Lease Management at Ross Dress for Less, Inc., a position from which she retired in 2019 after a distinguished career.

On November 29, 1986, Eileen married Edward Lopez in San Francisco, California. Together they built a life filled with love and shared passions. Though they did not have children, their bond was deep and enduring. In retirement, Eileen and Ed made their home at Trilogy at the Vineyards in Brentwood, where they embraced an active and joyful lifestyle.

Eileen's days were filled with the things she loved most: reading avidly across genres; traveling to new places; enjoying rounds of golf; creating intricate diamond paintings; cooking delicious meals; savoring fine wine and food; and cheering on her beloved San Francisco Giants and San Francisco 49ers. She found joy in simple pleasures and treasured time spent with Ed, her family, and friends.

She is survived by her devoted husband Ed Lopez; and her loving sisters Maureen, MaryBeth, and Coleen. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Ruth Madigan; her sister Patricia Madigan; and her brother Terry Madigan.

Eileen is now with God-peaceful and free from cancer. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Her kindness touched many lives; her strength inspired those around her; and her selfless spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

May her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing and serve as a lasting reminder of a life beautifully lived. A Funeral Mass will be held on October 16, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 03:30 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 500 Fairview Avenue in Brentwood. There will also be a Celebration of Life on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 12 noon at the Mt. Diablo Event Center at Trilogy at the Vineyards, 1700 Trilogy Parkway in Brentwood.

Interment will follow at a later date at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, California. She will join her father Charles, mother Ruth, and brother Terry, also interred there. Her husband Ed will follow her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Eastbay, a non-profit hospice that cared for Eileen with the utmost care and skill.
