Eileen M. McCloskey

(nee Lyons) Eileen passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, on August 24th, 2022, of Westmont, NJ at the age of 74.

Eileen was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie Lyons and the beloved wife of 51 years to Don McCloskey.  Loving mother of Colleen McCloskey (Nevado) of Oaklyn, NJ, Tina Ward (Brian), of Haddon Township, NJ, and the late Karen Roll (Ronald), of Quinton, NJ.  She was the proud grandmother of Marissa, Jason, & Rachel Ward, and Brielle & Ronnie Roll, and great grandmother of Patrick McAdams.  Dear sister of Joseph Lyons Jr. (Therese) of Chino Hills, CA, William Lyons (Ruth) of Mays Landing, NJ, Janet Blanchard (Theron) of Pine Hill, NJ, Daniel Lyons (Nadine) of Blackwood, NJ, John Lyons (Erin) of Glen Mills, PA, and the late Paul Lyons of Philadelphia, PA. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Eileen was a 1962 graduate of Holy Saviour Elementary School and a 1966 graduate of Camden Catholic High School.  Prior to her Parkinson’s diagnosis, Eileen was an active member of Holy Saviour parish as a Lector, Chairman of the Welcome Ministry, and a member of Parish Council. She also served as President of Edison School PTA from 1981-1983.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation, Mon., August 29th from 6 to 8 PM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Twp., NJ, and Tue., August 30th from 9:30 to 10:15 AM at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish HOLY SAVIOUR CHURCH, 50 Emerald Ave., Westmont, NJ.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM.

Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ. 

Contributions in Eileen’s memory may be made to the Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish.
