Eileen Mead

MEAD Mrs. Eileen Harrison Mead, 93 died Monday at The Birmingham Health Care Center. She is the widow of John J. Mead. Born in the Newport News, VA. on Jan. 18, 1919 daughter of the late John and Nellie (Quayle) Harrison She was employed by the ST. of CT. Unemployment Dept. as a Claims Adjusted until her retirement in 1978. A member of the Valley Ecumenical Choir, The Weekly Card Club, Love of Golfing at The Great Hill Country Club and Highland Golf Club. She had a fondess for the Isle of Man and also love for animals especially Cats. Eileen is survived by 2 nephews and 2 nieces as well as 2 grand nephews and 3 grand nieces; she is predeceased by 1 brother John A. Harrison. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11;00 am in the Bennett Funeral Home 91 N. Cliff St. Ansonia. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 9;30 till 11;00 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made ti Ct. Chapter of A.S.P.C.A in care of the Funeral Home.
