Eileen E. Plotkin

Eileen E. Plotkin joined her husband, Irving, in death, on November 9, 2004, while at Banner Hospital in Mesa, Arizona. Eileen was 76 years old. Eileen and Irving are remembered as the owners and operators of “Eileen's”, a fashionable women's clothing shop, with outlets formerly located at Chris-Town, Metro Center, and Paradise Valley shopping centers. “Eileen's” was in operation in the Valley from 1962 through 1986. Eileen was raised in Casa Grande, Arizona, where her father I.R. Fabricant (former Police Commissioner and highly prominent Elks Club member), her mother Kate, and her two brothers Robert and Albert, owned and operated “Fab's” Department Stores, with locations throughout Pinal County, Arizona. Eileen and Irving married in 1948 and thereafter moved to Buckeye, Arizona, where they owned and operated “Clay's Department Stores” until 1962 when Eileen and her family moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and the “Eileen's” chain was formed. Eileen and Irving leave three children, Judith Bailey (Bill), Susie Thompson (surviving spouse of William), and Clayton Plotkin, eight grandchildren, Brian Bailey (Califa), Todd Bailey (Jodi), Tasha Thompson, Carrie Plotkin, Stephanie Plotkin, Matthew Plotkin, Drezden Plotkin and Vaughn Plotkin, and three great-grandchildren, Blaine Bailey, Zachary Bailey and Jayden Plotkin. Services, to be officiated by Rabbi Albert Plotkin, are to be held at Sinai Mortuary Chapel, 4538 N. 16th Street in Phoenix on Friday, November 12, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. with interment to thereafter take place at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren Street in Phoenix. Friends are invited to attend.
