I have special memories of Mrs. Sametz first at our house in Holyrood on Boxing Day. They always won the prize for best charades. They also talented they loved fun especially Eileen. I remember her involvement with Cerebral Palsy Association school they opened for children with disabilities. Eileen was the first principal she worked so hard with the first students. She had a true calling. I know Cathy Trickett will be upset when I tell her of Mrs. Sametz passing. Their will be others who remember her as well. In closing, I will to express my deepest sympathy to Roberta, Paul,Ellen and Jeremy and one other. Much love to you from Janet, Andy, Bill, David and Paul

Eileen was Principle during my time at St. Mark Jr. High (when the school was still in its infancy). I had the priveledge of drawing and presenting Eileen with her portrait on the day I graduated from Grade 10. I liked Eileen. In her role she was firm and well-respected within the school. She wanted the best for each student and encouraged each one to succeed. Great memories of a special lady.

Please accept the deepest sympathies of Chris and Pam Gabie, friends of Eileen's from Bay Indies in Venice. Eileen was the best ambassador Canada could ever have here in Florida - she is loved and missed by many.

When I first became a principal with the then CRCSSB, Eileen took me under her wing. Her wisdom and common sense helped me through some initial challenges. Her sense of humour, her keen mind (in bridge, especially) are fondly remembered. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time; you've been blessed with a wonderful woman.
Sincerely

To Roberta and all the family.
I intended to go to the funeral for Eileen today but the weather is keeping me home. We all have fond memories of Eileen, queen of the beach,
and know that your family will miss her.I have not been through "lovers lane" lately but remember "hi Eileen" and often a happy "hi, come on in" from somewhere in side.

Aunt Eileen was great. She made us all smile, challenged us with her wit and who can forget some of those marathon card games we enjoyed. I will always remember the way she greeted her nephews with a " hey good looking!" .
She will be missed. Our thoughts are with you all.

Every thought I have of Gram is larger than life. The piano teacher who took an orphan under her wings and loved him as her own. The first person (other than my parents) to scold me for a bad attitude. The educator who applauded non-tradition. The beloved pen pal I planned to visit with my kids. She left this earth on the day my youngest turned one. It is strangely comforting to know the cycle of life goes on. But there will never be another Eileen Sametz. It is your gain, Gram, but our loss. You will be deeply missed.

Aunt Eileen was a very bright talented woman, a terrific writer and storyteller but these were just a few of her talents.
I was always impressed by her many achievements as an educator and later in her role as Queen of the Beach and talent show director in her beloved Bay Indies Florida.
I even braved the US interstate highway system a couple times in my role as chauffeur "Driving Miss Eileen" and a cat named Babe to Florida from Ottawa. We had a great adventure each time.
I have many terrific memories, she was a generous host, a caring person and I will miss her friendship.

Dear Roberta, Zoe and Family,
We are very saddened by your loss. Our lives together today began all those years ago because of her generous hospitality in Venice Florida. I see Eileen in heaven with her beloved Zenon, like the picture in the photo gallery--paddling off in a canoe on their next adventure together again. Now she will live in our memories and her spirit will always be inside your heart. All our love, Gary and Krysia Coulombe.

We didn't get to see her often enough, but when we did visiting with "The Queen of the Beach" was always a pleasure at Tenaga, and in Manotick. We will never forget her jokes, eternal common sense and upbeat approach to life. The summer regatta at Tenaga was an event we'll remember for ever, with her cheering "Go North Side" and encouraging the kids big and small. Thanks Eileen for blessing us - we will miss you!
