Eileen SANSREGRET

SANSREGRET, Eileen June
1939 – 2014
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Eileen June Sansregret, 74 years old, on February 12, 2014. Eileen was born on the family homestead in Cold Lake, Alberta, on June 4, 1939. As a teenager, she worked as a telephone operator before moving to Edson, Alberta and eventually on to New Westminster in 1966 where she raised her 7 children. While raising her children, Eileen worked at A & W Farms and with Eileen's Catering. In 1976 she met her husband Kerry and moved to Ladner in 1987 to manage the Delta West Apartments. Eileen managed the apartment building until 2013 when she semi-retired but continued to act as assistant manager. She loved to sit on her patio and watch the various birds that would come to her garden. Eileen was an avid crib player, loved to play backgammon and always had an open book nearby. She enjoyed her Sunday dinners with her family and loved watching her grandchildren play baseball. Eileen was predeceased by her parents Laura and Ken Gantz, sister Louella, brothers Marvin and Joe and her infant son, Reo. She is survived by her husband Kerry, her children Randy (Julie), Sandy (David), Rick (Cyndi), Perry (Debbie) Dale (Shari) Cindy (John) and Terry (Tracy), her siblings Don, Larry, Jerry, Shirley and Charlet and her 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Eileen's life will take place at the Sundance Banquet Hall in Ladner, 6574 Ladner Trunk Road, Delta, BC on Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 2-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society www.cancer.ca, in Eileen's memory, would be appreciated.
