Eileen Sonnier Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 7 to Mar. 8, 2023.
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Eileen (Muslimah) Sonnier, our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched. She passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2023. She is now reunited with her husband, Joseph, who predeceased her in 2016.

Her legacy lives on through her children: Elijah, Alasia, Dirul-Islam, Hatim, Hadiyah, Ifraj, and her grandchildren: Aliyah, Travis, Alaina, John Joseph, Elijah, and Noah.

Eileen lived a joyful life as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and nurse. She always put her family above all and instilled in them strong values & a strength that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

I had the pleasure of knowing Eileen through nursing school. She's was a wonderful woman, who talked about her family often and lovingly. She reminded me to stay grounded when things got chaotic, which paid off as we both graduated with high honors.

My sincere condolences to all family and friends on Eileen's passing. I worked with her at Manhattan cable for many years and she was always a wonderful leader, friend and co worker. We've spoken over the years on facebook and she always had a bright, happy attitude. She was a wonderful person and will be missed greatly.

I am so truly sorry to hear of Eileen“s passing. I worked with her for many years at Time Warner Cable and always found her to be kind, caring and just a wonderful soul. She would always comment on many of my postings on FB and it was a pleasure just reconnecting in this way, as it had been a while since seeing her. Condolences to her family and May you Rest In heavenly Peace Eileen.
