To all of the Bonfiglio - Turgeon family of Elaine M. Bonfiglio: I have had the pleasure of knowing Elaine for over 45 years. She was always cheerful with a smile and fun to be with. She cared cared so much for her family and those around her. I was proud to be a part of the extended family and enjoyed all the visits and meals we shared. She kept her spirits up while fighting the terrible cancer for so long. I will keep the fond memories of her forever and hope you all do the same. My deepest condolences to the entire family. My prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.

I had the enormous privilege of working with Elaine for many years, and she was an amazing person. She was so good at her job (and had her own mysterious systems to keep things organized). She looked out for me and shared such wisdom. What a special and strong lady she was. I am so grateful to have known her.

The loss is unmeasurable but so is the love left behind. Such a special Aunt generous with her heart and home. Her home was always open to her family ALWAYS. We spent so much time together over my years of life and there are so many special memories, laughs and support. Countless joyful holidays and dinners together with our large family. Great mother, sister, daughter, grandmother and aunt who will be greatly missed!! So sorry we will not be there for the services but our thoughts are with all the family.
Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday...unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and very, very dear.

We are very sorry for your loss. My husband, John, worked for the Hartford Public Schools for many years. Whenever we had a dilemma about insurance, we would look at each other and say in unison "Elaine Bonfiglio"! We would send her an email, and in 10 seconds or less, we would have the answer from Elaine. Sometimes it felt like she answered the question before we even asked it! She was not only knowledgeable, but also kind and patient. She will be missed by many. God bless you all.

I worked with Elaine on a daily basis for almost 4 years. She was a font of knowledge and I can't tell you how many people call the office looking for her on a daily basis.
She was also a genuinely warm, kind and funny woman; and possibly the strongest person I've ever known. She handled life's challenges (no matter how big or small), with grace and a positive attitude.
She will be greatly missed by all of us here at Hartford Public Schools. Your family remains in my thoughts and prayers.

I met Elaine twice: once when I came to program the VCR so Mario could get the soccer, once on the way to Madame Liu's for some Chinese food.
I knew that Elaine was a saint from the day Mario introduced us over thirty years ago.
You children will miss your Mom, as you miss your Dad, but know that you had two stand up parents.

So sad to hear about your mom. Having just lost my mom in March, I feel your pain. I hope that you will be sustained by wonderful memories of the good times (of which I'm sure there were many). When Elise gets home from Florida this week, we'd like to stop by and maybe share a toast to our moms.

To Kim, Bob, Brittany, Andrew and the whole family,
I am definitely missing your Mom. I know she is in a much better place but that physical void will always be there. Elaine, we shared a lot of personal conversations together over the years. It will be difficult when we go out to supper and you won't be at the same table anymore. You and my deceased family members will always be in my prayers. Rest in peace my dear cousin. Love and hugs.
