When things like this happen close to home, it makes you realize how little time any of us really has. Time, our most precious currency, is the most valuable thing we humans can spend". Elaine was our east, west, south & north for those who knew her. I hope her love for life and music will carry on within all of us who were blessed to know her.

I was a student of Elaine Kruse in the 70's when she was teaching at the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto). Having her in my life was the most enriching period for me musically and personally. She challenged you into areas that you didn't think you would do well in, but she was right every single time and the end result was magic. She was beautiful inside as well as the outside. I will always keep Elaine's memory alive for as long as I live. My condolences to her husband and her family during this difficult time.

Our family knew Elaine through her involvement in the music community. Her vibrant presence, spectacular smile and musical talent will be missed. We are so sorry for this loss.

I had the honour to have the woman whom we all called "beautiful Elaine" as my guest at our Victoria College formal almost 40 years ago. She was charming, musical and - yes - beautiful then, as she remained and will remain for those of us who knew her.
