For the past 26 years I have taught parent education in the courts and privately and have urged parents to read HETTSKLW...... I feel a great sense of loss having know Elaine through her work. At this time there must be millions of children who have had the benefit of her writing with Adele through helping their parents bring more love and influence into their homes. I speak from my own experience of having that benefit as well. These two women have done a great service to families. I am so sorry to know that she is gone and so grateful for her contributions. Elaine, you live on.

Thank you, Elaine, for all the many hours weeks, days, months and years you put into reforming the way we speak to our children, parents, and even ourselves. Along with Dr Haim Ginott, you've made this world a far better place. If only we all would read your books, there would be many more happy parents, children, and people. You've shone a light where it was needed. Surely you may rest assured you accomplished what you set out to.

Thank you so much for all your work with effective, compassionate communication! Your words with Adele have been my communication guide even before I had my children. Those heartfelt practical communication tools are timeless and transforming relationships, one word, one person at a time toward a much happier world. Thank you, forever
