I've known Elaine and the Norris family since I was 14 years old (I'm now 35). I was welcomed into her home as a friend of her eldest son, Carl. Elaine kept a warm and loving home, with lots of well taken care of pets. She had a contagious laugh and smile. When I was introduced to her other children, I remembered thinking what a wonderful mother she must've been to raise such amazing kids. One time she came to a party at my moms house with her sons, James and David. My mom made a point to tell her that she had raised such well behaved and polite mannered children. I had asked her once what her "secret" was. She told me "when your baby cries, you hold them. When your child needs you, you are there." This is a lesson Elaine taught me that I now apply to raising my own son. I am not shy in saying that I aspire to be even half the mother she was. Her husband, Sig, also shared his home with me. Their marriage is one that will go down in history. Filled with love, support, common interests, communication and respect. I remember looking on in awe at these two, seeing two people in love that were also best friends. I could only hope to find a love like theirs one day. To Sigurd, Rose, Carl, James, David, Jim, Matt, Timmy, Sheamus, and the rest of the Weaving / Norris clan, my heart goes out to you. You are in my prayers. Elaine is with you, forever and always. I love you all more than I could ever ever express. The entire D'Avino family has you in our thoughts and heart.
