Elda M. "Ellie" Ceppi

Worcester - Elda M. "Ellie" Ceppi 88, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 15, 2019 comforted by her loving family. Elda, mostly known as "Auntie" to her precious family, was a lifelong resident of Delmont Ave. Grafton Hill section of Worcester, MA. Elda is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Gemma (Blotto) Ceppi. Her Brothers, Robert and Roger, his wife Madonna. A niece Lisa Ceppi. Upon graduating from Commerce High School, Elda began working at The Italian Finance Company, then worked for Glass Rock Home Health Care retiring after 20 years. "Auntie" stepped up to a role she enjoyed most in life. She would spend the next 22 years with her Beloved great nephews Cameron and Mitchell Shaheen in North Andover MA, helping care for them as their nanny, spending days in North Andover, then traveling back to her Worcester home. When "Auntie" was not in her kitchen making her "famous red soup" or "cucumber salad" keeping true to her Italian traditions, you would find her with family members just doing what she loved most, spending time with them. If it was at a party, family event or her nephews and nieces sporting events, she was always there to cheer them on or celebrate their greatest life's moments. Elda was an avid golfer and a member to Holden Hills Country Club you could find her perfecting her game often. When not on the golf course she would be traveling the world, enjoying many trips to Europe, and many other great adventures. With her joy of gardening and passion for flowers you would often find "Auntie" working alongside Sandra at Les Fleurs Floral Home Garden, delivering and setting up flower arrangements made for weddings, adding her special touches to brighten someone's day. Elda leaves behind dear family who meant the world to her. She leaves behind her nephews and nieces Sandra and her husband Dr. Scott Sigman. Sandra's children Cameron and Mitchell Shaheen all of North Andover, Mark Ceppi and his children Nicholas and Alex of Shrewsbury and Michael Ceppi of Boston, Diane and her husband Terry Barter of Berlin, MA their children Terry Jr. Joe, and Michael, Linda and her husband David Warner and their son David, Robert Ceppi and his children Jessica and Lauren, her sister in law Theresa Ceppi. "Ellie" also leaves many dear friends especially her friends at the Southgate of Shrewsbury community. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday January 27, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00PM at the Chiampa Funeral Home ~ The Sumner House, On the Common, 5 Church Road, Shrewsbury, MA Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Our lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester, MA. Family and Friends are kindly asked to go directly to the church. Interment will follow in St John's Cemetery Worcester, MA The family kindly asks friends and family to send flowers in memory of Elda, which will then be transferred into a memorial garden for her family to care for.
