"Husband, Father, Friend"
Eldon Delmar Jennings passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 9:30 p.m. in South Jordan, Utah. Born on March 11, 1945 he lived in the greater Salt Lake area his entire life.
Eldon married his wife Lois in Elko, Nevada on July 15, 1967 and they were later sealed in the Jordan River Temple. Eldon served in the Army and Air National Guard Reserve which he retired from in 1999. He also worked in the telecommunications industry from which he retired after 45 years to care for his wife.
Eldon is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Lois, in 2011; and his mother, Myrtle, in 2014. He is survived by his children Bill (Christa), Glade (Laura), and Jennifer (Troy) Passey; grandchildren Tolson, Braxton, and Keagon; 8 other grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren; his siblings Marcia (Ben) Fenn, Verl (Kim), Gayle (Diane), Lynda Amerson, Lynn (Marlene). He was loved and will be missed by many other members of his family.
The family would like to give special thanks to those who attended him in his time of need.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 30, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Stake Center, 2901 West 9000 South, West Jordan. Viewings will be held Sunday, October 29th, 6 - 8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and again prior to services at the church from 10 - 10:45 a.m. Interment will take place at West Jordan City Cemetery with military honors. Uncle Eldon I will miss you more than words can say. Thank you for the great memories. I am so glad that you are not in anymore pain. You were a tough fighter. Rest in peace my uncle Eldon.
