I didn't learn of Cousin Eldrid's passing until last week. I'm sick at heart and would have love to attend his services. I loved spending time with Ed and was always laughing (or rolling my eyes) at the antics of he and my dad (Adrian). They had a lot of fun together. Eldrid had a picture of he and my dad on his shelf in his family room. It was of the two of them in their younger days standing in front of a truck or fence. Two good looking guys. I would love to have that picture if any of his family knows where it is. My heart goes out to you all. Ed was much loved.

I had the opportunity to work for Schoppe company for 24 years. It was the only company I ever worked for when I joined local 312.I can remember walking into Ed's office the first time for my interview and was a nervous wreck, but after a few minutes with Ed I knew this was a good thing. I really owe my whole life to Schoppe co. We made it through the bad times and the good times, it was like a big family. Ed cooking hamburgers at the Christmas party, Talking fishing and numerous other topics. I could go on forever. I was told only one other time to go to Ed's office and I was freaked out thinking, why did Ed want to talk to me in his office? It had to be serious or he would have just walked out to the shop. Thank's Dan. Everyone else knows why I got called in. Thank you Ed for everything.

Grandpa Ed made a wonderful impact on my life and family. I will cherish the memories of Sunday dinners with Ed at the head of the table - telling stories of his adventures with his sweetheart Ann. To his family far and near, please accept my deepest condolences and sympathy for your loss.

Our families have been friends for 60 years and I feel it a pleasure to have been able to call Ed a friend. All of the Buntings are great people and have a great legacy to follow from their Dad and Grandfather a true gentleman personally and professionally.

Ed & Ann were complete together and I loved them both. Ed reminds me of my dad, kind, a great gardener and so gentle when he'd wander over to my dad's. I appreciate his wonderful granddaughter & her family as well as others adding to his care and joy this last while. May their legacy continue on throughout the family and may you have peace in your hearts at this time.

I've known Ed for 50 years or so, and I've never met a finer man in my life. He was as honest and ethical as a man can be, and waaay more fun than most. We all learned valuable life lessons hanging around Ed. Guys like him are few and far between, and we're lucky to have had him in our lives. He left his mark on all of us. ..... Condolences to the family. ... We'll all miss him.

Our condolences go out to Ann and Family. We always knew Ed as "Farmer Ed". He was a neighbor to my parents for many years and kept them well supplied with the fruits of his garden. What a wonderful and Christ like man. The Arizona Miller's

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise found in 1 Thessalonians 4 : 14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Glad that Ed was my uncle. He gave me six great cousins to grow up with. My dad, Shirl, loved being Ed's little brother and sidekick in their many childhood adventures and pranks. A favorite memory was being on Ed's houseboat as he and Dad shared stories in the evenings. Best story EVER was the time Ed tried out his dad's Model A by driving it in and out of the garage at their first home in Bountiful. Got going too fast and slid into the garage sideways when he hit the brakes. He knew he was "in for a lickin' when Dad got home," so he and my dad spent hours moving the car a few inches at a time as they jacked it up and slid it over. Never a dull moment in his childhood!
