Miss you everyday and we wish you were still here with us-especially as we are expecting another girl-Elanna! You would be so proud of Ella in gifted 2nd grade. Her educators says she gives 100% everyday and loves having Ella in her class. Elli is coming up fast as she is almost 3 and can write and loves Art and Dance class and is so funny too. You would have so much fun with the both of them! If only I knew back then all the sacrifices you made for us so we could have a great and happy childhood! Thinking of you Mom!! sorry we did realize that time with you would be so short....we are so grateful for all you did for us! So on your Birthday we made your famous chicken soup for Elliana-it's her favorite! Thank you for showing me how to make it! Thank you for the cute Kitty Stamps you got for me that Ella is using in her Cat Project for school that you got for me in 1985! You were always great at picking out that special thing for us that you knew we would like! glad I saved them! I don't know how you did what you did!?!

You would be so proud of Ella-she is so smart and beautiful and getting 100%s on her spelling tests in Gifted High Achieving K! Along with her music and dance she has taken up Ukelele-and is picking it up fast! Speaking of fast-Elliana is growing so fast too and saying a storm of cute words and sounds! She is so sweet and gonna be a smart cookie like her sister too. Lately she is trying to walk! Rick is so awesome and loves to come home to Toyland and play with his girls! I just wish you were here to enjoy the fun too. One day we will all be together again-because we Believe.

Ever since you passed away-my iPhone keeps writing Happy New Tear.....well today...
- I am STILL tearing up & crying ugh..

Ella said to me today- she remembers all about you Nana! Elliana will know all about you too by the stories we will tell her of you, pictures we will share with her & your recipes I will make and teach them to the kids...

Today we went to a big beautiful Nursery-just like the one back home you used to take us to all the time...we just loved it-seeing and smelling all around the beautiful flowers & herbs and all greenery reminded me of happy times with you/gardening on Black Rock-there was even one lone Monarch butterfly there flying all around the Boggenvillas-it reminded me of you/ like you were flying around with us too!

There were lots of reminders of your great green thumb there. I was always amazed how you knew how grow and care for any kind of plant. You were so smart. You knew to read the Almanac too like your Dad--then we'd running to Suburban Hardware or Valley View for a few more things...ha...those were the Best of Times!

So we picked out some herbs& pink flowers-& a little pot of Mums-just like you would have bought this time of year to put on your porch...

Wish you could just answer the phone one more time-miss hearing you say, "Inspector" and us cracking up...just wish we could hear your voice...one more hug...one more day...just one more time...we still have so many questions ugh....

Hello Mom, On Saturday 8/9/2014 RootBeer passed away, she was 17.5 years old. I know you loved RootBeer very much. I can remember you would call me at lunch time and you would say how's Roots doing. I wish you were here to help me out and see RootBeer. Mom you loved RootBeer, she was a great dog. Mom thank you for all your help with RootBeer, I could not have done it with out you. 2 years ago today was a nightmare as we lost you.....you are still missed greatly and know that you are not forgotten-Dad is over for dinner tonight & we made your famous Chicken and Dumplings. We have been to the hospital yesterday and today- almost had baby girl-Elliana!! We picked her name with "El" in front of it to reminds us of you...her official name means, "God has answered me"....

We wish you were here with us now to share the birth of Elli in my Belly-but I know you are with me, guiding me from the great example of all of what a wonderful Mom is supppose to do-I'm trying my best. Just miss ya terribly as I've just tried to think and pray on what you would do..

I actually kept a night shirt of yours beside me in bed to make it through the crucial first 14 weeks-and it worked :))))

All of us struggle without you-I still go to try and call you, but I'm ok knowing that you are safe, and not in any pain and we are confident that we will see you again.

Dear Mom,

Today was Ray Day in Baltimore as the Ravens beat Brady in New England & now head to The Super Bowl in New Orleand to face the 49ers both brother coaches face off! We were all in purple-I wore your Ravens Sweats and made your Spinach Salad & special dressing! Ella sang 'Lets Go Ravens Let's Go!" all week! Flacco was great tonight.

The Boys had a great Day with races-You would have loved to see Ron The Greek run at Florida Sunshine Millions yesterday-and the Handicappers were hot today with Casey's Catus that came in 81-1! Casey was your favorite dog-he was a beautiful Irish Setter.

The Boys had the best Baltimore Sandwich in town-Gibby's Flounder Sandwich for Game Night tonight.

January we got to take a plane ride on Ella's 4th Bday to Baltimore! She had tons of fun playing Doctor with Papa-couldn't wait till he got up every morning lol! She beat us all in UNO& had so much fun with Ronnie & Colin. Colin made an awesome lasagna-you would habe been impressed. Ronnie has so many plants people sent us that he has taken care of-wow. Ella sure does miss u-she wished she could see you. I told her someday-it'll be a better place & you will.

This is a Holiday Weekend so no school tomorrow & Our Anniversary...lots to celebrate & always a little bittersweet without you with us. We will watch our wedding video & see you again. I love the part where we get to dance together :)))

Dear Mom....

Last night as I gathered ingredients to make your fruitcake....I was looking at the recipe you wrote out for me on a recipe card in 1994....It was so nice to see your handwriting. I'm keeping it safe and teaching Ella how to make these great family recipes-just like you took the time to show me.

I was listening to Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols-that we used to sing at BATC every Christmas Concert- and how much you did for us to see that we got to school-18 miles away...and how you came to all our concerts, and the great great times we had on Winter Breaks-sking, cooking, baking, and tons of Hot Chocolates-those were the Best of Times. It snowed in Baltimore-so they had a White Christmas...

You were so good in the details of life to make sure we were set up for success..How did you do it all???....except for the fact that without you physically in the picture here now -it's sooooo rough...

Today just like the day before and the day after-we all miss you. Colin, Ronnie, Dad and Rick and I-especially Ella miss you. Wish you could see Ella-she would read You a book this time ;)

you would have thought today was an interesting date today being 12/12/12...I remember how you liked it when it was 1/1/01 New Year's Day! We were at the Gator Bowl with WV vs MD! That was an awesome time! You'de be so proud and impressed with Dad and the boys how much work, and organization to pack up the house and office too! Wow!

Ella sang a solo this weekend-you would have been so proud of her singing in front of a lot of people! She held the Mic all by herself!

Ella misses you so much. Wish you could see her play the piano too! She is the Flower Girl in Alan and Lori's Wedding on the Beach today! Rick and I also get to walk down the isle as part of the Bridal Party!

Today your little Ella and I made Dark Chocolate Cake for you-just liked you showed her last Sept 2011 and it came out great. We only wish you were here with us-we still so greatly miss you/miss calling you at midnight and tell you Happy Birthday...and in two months from now Ella will be 4.

Ella knows your in the ground...but sometimes wants to take her kite and go way high up in the air and bring you back down- as she says she's gonna, "go get her"...She started school and is loving it-her teacher and even her principal says that she is a loving person and soooo smart. She can write her whole names and so many words and spelling and reading words now.... Thank you for showing me how to be a great Mom too!

Hello Mom, It's June 21,2012 and it's my Birthday. Dad, Ronna and Ella Lee gave me a nice card with some money. You loved giving cards, so dad stepped in for you. Today is very hot, it's about 95F outside. I do not know if it was that hot when I was born, Wow.. I took RootBeer for a walk on the NCR, going to go for a bicycle ride and come home an put some steaks on the grill with fresh asparagus & garden salad, mmmm. Thank you mom for all the great gift idea's, I don't know how you found the time to find me that special gift. We all miss you, but we know jehovah is looking after you. Thanks mom for all those birthday cake's and icecream cakes too, hihihi. I love you so much, you where the greatest birthday party planner ever !

Dearest Mom,
Today on this first Mother's day without you was rough and bittersweet...I feel like I didn't say enough words at your funeral about how much we appreciated all you have done for us, how wonderful, kind and generous you were to people even if you had just met them. Thank you for always being there for us.

Rick got Ella a kite the other day..and as soon as Ella saw it-she says "oh I have to take this and go way up in the clouds and bring Nana back--yea-that's what I gotta do-that's what I'm suppose to do".....
Then a few days later as we were driving home, she says,"I have to take my kite and go way up high and when I see Nana-I'll give her a kiss and she'll wake up"....;)))

To Mom, I would like to tell you about my new shrimp dish with White wine cream sauce. I use 6-12 shrimp in hot olive oil, sear them only a few minutes on each side, throw in minced onion (red or white), then put in a teaspoon of basil pesto sauce an stir, then deglaze pan w/dry white wine, put a little parsley in, you could use a little diced tomato's, then stire in the heavy cream allow to reduce, finally, add pasta. Season shrimp w/salt & pepper. Enjoy, Love you Mom. Dad is eating well,you where a great teacher.

Another Month has gone by without you-we still feel an enormous void. Everytime I wrote Happy New Year this year-it came out Happy New Tear ;((
Ella could write her name before her 3rd Bday this month-we would have had so much fun in the kitchen with you-getting ready to make Hello Kitty Cake Pops and Hello Kitty Marshmallow treats for her party...the lady that made her HK cake put Ladybugs on it just for you. We put your picture by her cake too. I wanted to make one of your famous cheese balls-but forgot the recipe..;(( I know you have it written down somewhere though ;))

For dinner tonight we will have pork & Sauerkraut, Stuffing, greenbeans and homemade cranberry sauce you taught me. Dearest Mom,
We made your fruitcake n Fruitcocktail cookies n choc chip and sent to the boys-just like you would have made. All the cookies doughs are ready to bake off-choc chip, Sugar, ginger bread, Double choc chip, mint choc chip, sugar with M&Ms too--and Ella and I made another of your Blue Ribblon Fruitcake for here. Ella was our "Official Egg Cracker" this year-two eggs/two hands-even separated some too by herself. You would have been so proud!!! Colin is making your favorite pork n sauerkraut with all the trimmings!
Ella got your last bag of goodies you packed for her-the talking bear n cds..oh how she loves it all and misses you. She tells me we have to go get you everytime she sees an airplane. Everyday is still a struggle to not have your here with us. We know there is no better place than God's Book of Life. We know you are safe but we are still lost without you...forever missing you...so grateful for the little time we had with you...;;;((((

Ella and I baked a pumpkin pie and apple pie like you taught us :)) we made some fun cupcakes that look like turkeys too..we are thinking of you and missing you-not just today but everyday. We love and miss you terribly...love you Mom. You are forever in our hearts

Dearest Mom...yesterday was your Birthday...we all thought of you and toasted to you in your honor-to the BEST Mom ever. You are in our every thoughts and we still miss you dearly.....

Eleanor was a beautiful human being. She was a loving wife, and mother, and then a grandmom. She loved the outdoors, her gardening, and the animals. She loved helping and being a wonderful mate with her husband Ron. In my book they were the perfect match! I'll miss her smile (it was so wide) and her wonderful sense of humor. She was a wonderful hostess (at the farm), and she always thought of others before herself. She loved her kids, and she loved life. She also loved the truth, and yes, she started to make it her own! She will be missed very much.
My very deepest condolences to her hubby Ron, her 3 kids, Ron Jr., Collin and Rena and too little Ella. Such a beautiful family!

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Mrs. B just glowed with warmth, inner and outer beauty, and kindness. I felt this each time over the past 20+ years on visits to your office. Don't even like calling it an office because she made it feel like another home!
It was a true blessing to know her, and
an even bigger blessing to have been her husband and child.

Eleanor was such a bright light in this world. She took me and my children into her heart like we were her own. The family celebrations, the cookie making, the birthday parties, the family dinners, my heart is so full of wonderful memories, I am filled with joy!!! I feel like I have lost my own family member. Dr. Broadwater and "Mrs. B" and Ronnie Jr. always made me feel safe and secure the moment I walked into their office. Eleanor always greeted everyone with a warm and sincere smile from the heart. I knew when I left that all was good in the world. I feel privileged to have known Eleanor.

i was fortunate become a part of the broadwater family. i was attracted to a light that shined in ronnalee that was radiant in eleanor. she alway greeted us with gifts when we come to

visit. she was a great nana
and alway good to megan and
jake. right now in the back of her car are un-sent gift for ella. ella loved her nana. when nana and papa are around they poured out their love to her. you will be aorly missed, mom. we will see you again on the other side. we love you!

There is not enough time or space to say all about a woman who has added so much in my life, who was another Mom to me, so many, many good times shared and lessons learned. You were always there through all the times for me, so many , many memories. Truly one of the most amazing women that I've known, I will try to model myself to, I hope to do your memory proud by carrying on all the things you empowered to me. My daughter who looked to you as her other grandma (Nonna) will always remember the wonderful person that you were and you will be forever in our hearts. We, myself, Giulianna and Michael will celebrate all the wonderful memories of your life. Thank you for being a big part of our life. You will be forever in our heart. We Love You Mom and miss you so.
