I was a very special person to Pixie Amo tu was our code in case she needed me. I lived at 2769 north hemberger street we met in 3rd grade at a local school on Croskey st. I was 8 years old. Pixie was my first girlfriend for 5 years til we moved to Southampton,pa.Pix and I were in the same homeroom and we were both on the Safety squad-she was capt, of course. I just had athought to try and find her on line and just did. I hurt so bad. We went to the movies and I was at her house on Croskey st all the time.I met mom and dad,Jimmy and Georgie and much later baby Lisa. Pix was at the shore with my family once.
The last ti I saw Pixie was on my last weeks in the Army as a combat medic and served in Korea. I tried many times to visit her but I think it was like 2 or 3 times. So So Sat and I feel so bad. I lost more than a girlfriend.
Please except my sincere condolences to her families. I can't explain how I had the thought to find Pixie. Maybe she is trying to tell me???????????
If anyone wants to contact me pleas do so, I will gladly give any info you like.

We boarded our horses at the same stable for years. She was an avid horsewoman and she loved her Chance. She was an excellent rider. I remember her kindness and I looked forward to every Christmas where she'd give the boarders a snapshot of their horses. Very thoughtful of her. She will be missed.

I´m very glad I got to know Eleanor when I myself linked into the Rohlfing family. Eleanor was always a fun and kind spirit to be around, and we shared many fond conversations and similarities with my own mothers/grandparents migration from Buffalo to Indy. She will be missed!!

She had her horse, Mighty Mouse, boarded with us. She rode most everyday except near the end. She was more like family. She will be missed.

Pixie was a tremendous lady with a quiet demeanor that belied a clever sense of humor and a bottomless well of empathy. I miss her dearly. This took me quite by surprise.

I remember and always laughed at her photographs. She did a wonderful job. Her laughing horse was perfect.
