I met Eleanor, many many years ago
( maybe 40) when we were both attending a Language Course.
We had a lot of fun on the Course.
At the time my husband was briefly unemployed and I had a young child, and it was a really difficult time for me.
Eleanor was incredibly kind and also totally down to earth.
She told me how she met her husband
Sandy Gall in Budapest , when he was with Reuters and she was also working in Budapest .she painted such s lovely picture of their meeting and their time there.
At the time of our meeting her husband was on television daily.
It sounded such a lovely story, and so kind of Eleanor that she took the time to tell it to me
It is interesting that a kind deed at a difficult time is never forgotten.
I saw in the News that her husband Sandy Gall has sadly passed away and it reminded me of Eleanor and meeting her all those years ago. A really exceptional person, her family were very lucky to have her

Being with Eleanor was always great fun and one was always laughing. She leaves a big hole in all our lives even those people who did not see her very often for various reasons will miss her laughter her sense of humour and her joy. she always managed to find the funny side of everything. How sad that she is no longer with us particularly for her family, but she is no doubt entertaining the others in heaven and having them all in hysterics. Love to all. Francesca
