Eleanor was a much respected member of staff and later a tireless volunteer within the Department of Biochemistry at QEII Medical Centre. She influenced me greatly regarding the value of books, especially First editions. She was an inspiration.

Aunt Mem will be gratefully remembered for all the love she shared and the wonderful memories of phone calls, visits, and parcels of books. She fostered a love of learning and kindled an interest in many things. From chemistry to sewing she cultivated every interest in some way be it books, a sewing machine or a set of paints. Sad that I won't be able to call up and answer her Eleanor speaking with my own Eleanor speaking too!.
