Eleanor McConnell
Eleanor McConnell, nee Lybarger, 85, of Eureka, Mo., born Aug. 13, 1920, in St. Louis, Mo., died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at Des Peres Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
Mrs. McConnell was a faithful, loyal and devoted Christian who loved her church, Faith Tabernacle, Wood River, Ill., where she was a member from 1972 until 2006. Eleanor was a very devoted and loving housewife. She had been employed at Universal Eagle Box Co., St. Louis, Mo., and had also been a nurses aid in East St. Louis, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McConnell whom she married Sept. 24, 1953; her son, Bobby Robertson; her parents, William and Nellie, nee Owens, Lybarger; two sisters, Edith Harling and Leona Gilbert and a niece, Betty Seifert.
Surviving are her son, Charles "Jerry" (Myrna) Robertson of New York, N.Y.; two granddaughters, Lauren Murphy of Wilmington, N.C., and Jahna O'Hana of Wilmington, N.C.; her great niece, Denise (Gary) Przygoda of House Springs, Mo.; a great great-nephew, Aaron Przygoda of House Springs, Mo.; a great-granddaughter, Indigo Murphy of Wilmington, N.C.
Memorials may be made to Faith Tabernacle Church, Wood River, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at Herr Funeral Home, Caseyville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at Herr Funeral Home, Caseyville, Ill., with Pastor John Kessler officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
