Always in my heart. I miss you. Thanks very much for the years of laughter and fun. I miss Rosy too.

I met Elena through a mutual friend, June Gutfliesch, when we all lived just below the San Diego / Mexican border in Baja California. Her career days over, she and hubby Rosie lived in the same community as June and I. Together the three of volunteered for the Rosarito Beach Red Cross, and participated in various events. We often got together just to visit, chat, laugh, tell stories, have lunch, and, at times plant flowers in her garden ~ no matter what it was we all had a blast! I remember Elena as being a kind, caring, and compassionate friend who was always interested in listening and sharing. I pray she in in the loving arms of Jesus, and hope to encounter her one sweet day on the other side. Joy.

Loved her performances in "House of Frankenstein","Little Giant",and "Blood and Sand". The only reason I ever looked at "Marcus Welby M.D." was because of her. She always seemed to be such a caring,down-to-earth lady. May"Ilonka" rest in peace.

You are one of the reasons that at the age of five years old I told my mom that I wanted to be like Consuelo on Marcus Welby, M.D.
I wanted to work for doctor, and I went on to do that as a Medical Assistant. I thank you for that.

In the movie "Romance on the High Seas," with Doris Day, There a young girl dancing among other dancers. The fleeting girl dancing was Elena Verdugo, she disappeared behind mirrors. Every time I see the movie, she is there. It may not mean mucho others but, I always wait to see her dancing. I have also heard that the "Verdugo Hills" in Los Angeles was in her family.

We were friends for 38 years. Worked on one show together. We use to run around LA and at her home in Mexico. Have so many pictures of her on my wall from the various characters she played. When I first came to this country from Australia in 1956 I became good friends with her son Richard. Elena and Richard lived in the La Brea towers. I remember her as such a caring person and included me on many outings. May she rest in piece.

Rest in Peace Dear Lady. I so enjoyed watching you on Marcus Welby as a Youngster in the '70's. You added so much to the show. You will ALWAYS be remembered. You gave our generation so much enjoyment.

I always admired Ms. Verdugo on Marcus Welby. When pregnant with my first child, I changed physicians looking for someone like Dr. Welby and Consuelo.
