Dear Mrs. Singelis, Tony, Jack and Van: I was so saddened by the news of Mr. Singelis' death. He was my guidance counsellor at Riverdale and my shop teacher. I remember how proud he was of his family and how envious I was of his sons that they had a father like him. He was a compassionate man who recognized that there was good in each of us. What he taught me about patience and believing in myself I have imparted on my own children. Bless him because he blessed us. My condolences on your loss.

Tony and family, my sincere condolences. It is so hard to lose a parent. I remember 3 years ago when your Dad was in the room down the hall from my mom at the Lakeshore. (my Mom has since passed) My thoughts are with you.

I am very sad to hear of Mr. Singelis' passing. My deepest condolences to you.

I was a student of Mr. Singelis in the mid 1970s at RHS.

My memories of Mr. Singelis are of his more direct approach to his interactions with students, and how this seemed to me a great deal more sincere and honest. It was clear that he truly cared about our futures. He had a wonderful presence about him.

I was sad to learn about the recent passing of Mr. Singelis who I remember being both kind and companionate even though he had the reputation for suffering no foolish behavior which was a personality trait I was keenly endowed with as a young student.

I fondly remember walking home from high school and passing the Singelis home which was situated on a well maintained large corner lot adjacent to Westpark Grade School where I first met his 3 sons Tony, Jack and Van.

I hope over time their feelings of sadness are replaced with happy memories of their father who enriched the lives of his family and students.
Respectfully, Morrie Baker

A gift is given to the world when a teacher is born. I was a student at RDH, and am so sorry to hear of Mr. Singelis's passing. May you gain strength from all the warm memories you shared with him, as many students shall as well.
I was not fortunate enough to have him as a teacher, but I do remember him fondly.

sincere condolences to the family of Ted Singelis. He was one of the first people to greet me at Riverdale and make me feel welcome after transferring from Lindsay Place. Then he put me in Vince Twight's English class and encouraged me to raise hell.

It is with great saddness that I learned the passing of Ted ( Eleftherios) whom I had the pleasure to know for over 35 years. He was a great Hellene, an excellent educator a good friend and with humour. Above all he was a good husband and loving father. I remember the days in 1976 when we used to meet in his home or mine and other homes in order to organize the then Greeks in West Island and we founded the West Island Hellenic Association and then the Hellenic Community of West Island. He was the one that set up the by-laws in order to function in a professional way.
To Pat, Anthony, Jack and Van I like to offer my deepest sympany as well as my family's for this great loss. May God bless his soul and give you all courage, strength and comfort to overcome this.

Let us remember his good days and his acievements in life.
