Eli Cragin Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 19 to Jan. 20, 2023.
Eli Fife Cragin died at age 37 in Stockbridge, MA. In recent years, he lived in Cape Cod, New York and California. He is survived by his parents John Cragin and Marilyn Fife, his brother Will Cragin and sister-in-law Naomi Rennard, his sister Caroline Cragin and sister-in-law Beth Sadler, his Aunt and Uncle Sue and Art Davis, and his beloved cousins.

He leaves behind his adoring dog, Mr. Bodhi, and many wonderful friends who were so important to him. Eli was a smart, warm, witty, and sensitive soul who photographed everything and everyone. He loved fashion and was known for his exuberant hairstyles. Nobody could make his family laugh like he could, and he did the best impressions; his sense of humor covered all topics of life. He was known for breaking every rule he could and was notoriously late for everything, always with an iced coffee and at least two other beverages in hand. He loved yoga, cloudy days, swimming in all bodies of water, clothing (ranging from thrift stores to designer wear), and travel, as long as it didn't include too many planned activities.

There will be a celebration of his life on Friday, March 3 for family and friends.

Eli was such a joy to know, love and especially see when we visited with him and his family. No matter how long it had been, he made us feel so close and welcomed. I will cherish his memory always.
