Hi Therese,
My name is Wink Ahren and my husband and I were friends with "Mac" back in the late 60"s early 70"s when he and Chip Elliott lived in the big house on, I think it was 7th Ave in Columbus. I am also a friend of Kathleen Kopp, who always speaks so highly of you. I am so sorry for your loss Therese. I read Mac's obituary and it is so spot on! Well done! I do believe with all my heart that Mac is exploring this amazing Universe, and is having the time of his life! When he is ready, I do believe he will return for that lifetime he hopes for and his wish to return and explore will be fulfilled.
I always remembered a day that Mike and I were visiting Mac over on 7th Ave. He was cooking at the stove in his kitchen and the main ingredient was ground beef! I am laughing as I am writing this because he was consuming as much raw hamburger as he was putting into the pan on the stove :) He loved raw hamburger! What a great guy!
I know from everything Kathleen has shared with me that this has not been easy for you.
Now you need to take time for yourself to heal. Blessings to you Therese.

I am sorry for your loss. He was a very neat man to talk and listen to. It has been years since I have seen him, but I will always remember him. We all will. May he rest in peace and wonder!

Sorry to hear of Elias's passing. I met him during his OSU days, in that rickety old house on 7th(?) Ave. I knew him then as "Mac" and never did get the hang of calling him Elias. I always found his intellect as challenging as it was entertaining. Sad to think, now, how long it's been since I saw him last.

Therese, we are so sorry to hear about Elias. He was such a gentle and caring soul. His memory will live on in the woods and fields that surround our humble home on CR15. Please stop by anytime.
