Elise Marie Charbonnet Angelette

I went to 5:15pm mass at OLL this evening ..a young couple with five very young beautiful children walked in and sat in a side pew, near me... As I passed by them during communion, I told them they are a great-looking family and they reminded me of the Angelettes...the mom knew who I was speaking of...

May God's promise found in John 6:40, of the hope to see our loved ones again, comfort your heart and give you peace, strength, and hope in the days ahead.

To The Angellete Family, words can not take away the pain and sorrow that you must be feeling. Please know you are in my deepest thoughts and prayers as you grieve. I taught y’alls son in first grade and the joy that Elise shared with us and our class was unmatched. Even though she was undergoing treatment, she still volunteered, baked all sorts of goodies for the students, and came to eat lunch with them! She was a beautiful, bright shining light for so many. She was inspirational and her faith immeasurable. Whenever she posted a blog I would stop everything and read. Prayers to your family as you grieve this tragic loss. I am also praying that God surrounds you with comfort and peace beyond understanding.

Denny and Jason, my heart is heavy and I have no words that seem fitting to express my condolences to you and your family. Elise was an inspiration to several of my children, and many, many others I don’t even know. I thank God that I was blessed to have met and spoke to her a few times. I feel sure that she is in heaven and one day, very soon, she will be a saint. I am already asking her intercession for many intentions. May the Holy Spirit give comfort to you always.

I don't think anything I write could do justice....I am just a casual friend, and I only met her and the family a few times in church here and there on occasion, but immediately knew I was in the presence of a very special person and family. I am heartbroken for them, but I will always think of and pray for them as countless others surely have and will. I'm not trying to speak for anyone in her family or her close friends, but I know she is surely in heaven with the Blessed Virgin Mary as I write this.

“A good woman is hard to find,
and worth far more than diamonds.
Her husband trusts her without reserve,
and never has reason to regret it.
Never spiteful, she treats him generously

She shops around for the best yarns and cottons,
and enjoys knitting and sewing.
She’s like a trading ship that sails to faraway places
and brings back exotic surprises.
She’s up before dawn, preparing breakfast
for her family and organizing her day.
She looks over a field and buys it,
then, with money she’s put aside, plants a garden.
First thing in the morning, she dresses for work,
rolls up her sleeves, eager to get started.
She senses the worth of her work,
is in no hurry to call it quits for the day.
She’s skilled in the crafts of home and hearth,
diligent in homemaking.
She’s quick to assist anyone in need,
reaches out to help the poor.
She doesn’t worry about her family when it snows;
their winter clothes are all mended and ready to wear.
She makes her own clothing,
and dresses in colorful linens and silks.
Her husband is greatly respected
when he deliberates with the city fathers.
She designs gowns and sells them,
brings the sweaters she knits to the dress shops.
Her clothes are well-made and elegant,
and she always faces tomorrow with a smile.
When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say,
and she always says it kindly.
She keeps an eye on everyone in her household,
and keeps them all busy and productive.
Her children respect and bless her;
her husband joins in with words of praise:
“Many women have done wonderful things,
but you’ve outclassed them all!”
Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades.
The woman to be admired and praised
is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God.
Give her everything she deserves!

To all of the family on the passing of a rare beauty! I am so sorry for you to have had to part with such a darling!

Jason, you shared the loss of two wonderful mothers. As difficult as that is, your understanding will be immeasurably powerful for your children.
I actually did not know how severe her condition was but I pray day and night for those who will die that day. Thank the Lord.

May she rest in eternal peace.

To see Elise and Jason together there was no doubt they loved each other without abandon and our GOD united them.
Elise’s work in the ministry will never die. In fact it lives on in the numerous Catholic couples’ lives she and Jason touched through WillWoods Faith and Marriage Apostolate.
She brought a unique awesomeness and positive energy that insured confidence in others.
We thank you JESUS for the great work Elise gave to the planet. We can’t wait to see her handprint on the universe.
