Elise was such a special Lady. When I first met her I couldn't believe how excepting she was of everyone. You knew where you stood with her, don't get me wrong, but she was very tolerant & excepting of everyone. I could always count on her for a good laugh, she had such a sense of humer. I remember a "blind date" we had arranged, the guy was very shy, lets just say Elise scared him so bad I doubt if he is dating anyone now. She will be greatly missed.

Elise was a dear friend, she used to babysit my children, Vance & billy Joe. She opened up her home to me & my family when our home burned. She used to travel with me a lot. She went to Canada with me frequently, to translate the road signs, the only problem was, when she got excited she would read them in French so it was no help at all. You could always count on her for a good laugh, she had a quick wit & was game for just about anything. Elise was a great friend & will be missed.

I was deeply sadden at the unexpected loss of a very special, kind and dear friend. You will never be forgotten, I send all my prayers to her and her family. I had just this pass fall remembered receiving a letter from her and then chatting on the phone for several hours which was nothing unusual~ I will never forget the many times we would get together over the house for dinner.Or going out trick or treating with my daughter.I was so anticipating her arrival this spring.she loved her kids and her grandchildren and always talked about them for hours. She loved the simple things in life. RIP

In my life I have had just a few people that I have been blessed to call my friend. Your mom was one of them. Elise was one of a kind with a beautiful heart and spirit. When I told my Nathan about your mom he said "She had the biggest heart". He was a teenager when I was working at the store and not always likeable but Elise loved him! And he knew it. You always knew where you stood with Elise! I will never forget during the ice storrm of 98 I was going down to get Andy as he had been stranded in Hampden for 3 days. It was after work and your mom jumped in my car and went with me. The world looked like a war zone and we basically skated down there with Elise screaming all the way " I could be home watching Oprah!". She would have never let me drive down there alone and she was always up for an adventure. I loved working with her. We had so much fun, no one could make me laugh like she could!!! I will always think of your mom with a smile and a warm feeling in my heart.

Dear Melonie and Heather,
You Mom was one of the first people that I met when I came to Corinth in 1978. She was a wonderful warm, free spirit. Her spirit persists, remember... those who we loved in life never leave us.

Dear Heather and Melonie,
My heart goes out to you this morning as I learn that your mom has passed away. You know that I have always kept a special place in my heart for your mom who was a good friend and riotous sense of humor. When the two of us used to work at the store together, or the times we saw each other at the Casavant's farm, or elsewhere, she always had a big hug for me and something to say in French, since she knew I liked it. What I appreciate most about Elise was always how supportive she was of me and whatever I wanted to do to be happy. Growing up as the "smart kid" in Corinth wasn't easy and I got picked on a lot. Your mom always said, "Just let them, James; they probably will be right here in the same spot and unhappy 20 years from now and you will be out conquering the world." It was nice to have her in my corner.

I hope that as time passes you both will feel your hearts on the mend and that love will take the place of the sadness that is there right now.

With much sincerity,
James Wilson
