Elizabeth Toth Bathory

DECATUR -- Elizabeth Toth Bathory, age 88, of Cambridge, MD, died Friday morning, December 12, 2003 at Dorchester General Hospital, Cambridge, MD.

Born on March 16, 1915 in Furnace Run, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Mary Kuzella Toth and Steven Toth.

On January 19, 1943 she married Joseph P. Bathory. He died on January 12, 1992.

Mrs. Bathory was a retired contract representative for the Social Security Administration with the Federal Government.

At one time she had been a docent for the Dorchester Heritage Museum and maintained a current membership. Mrs. Bathory was an avid Baltimore Oriole baseball fan.

Mrs. Bathory was a communicant of St. Mary, Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church, Cambridge, MD.

Surviving is a daughter Patty Tedesco and her husband Joe of Cambridge, MD, one grandson Bart Lee Shellabarger of Cambridge, MD, two step-grandsons Joseph Tedesco of San Antonio, TX, David Tedesco of Charlotte, NC, two great-grandchildren Caraline and Calyn Shellabarger of Cambridge, MD, two sisters Margaret Hudson of Urbana, Illinois, Mary Payne of Chicago, Illinois and a sister-in-law M. Margaret Toth of Decatur, Illinois.

Preceding her in death were four brothers Joseph, Steven, Charles and John Toth and two sisters Esther Kiningham and Julia Brett.

Private services will be held in Cambridge, MD and in Decatur, Illinois.
