Betsy was a wonderful neighbor and Block Captain. She was beloved by all on Rolling Hills Avenue. She would knit a stocking for every child on the block, every year, personalized with their name and filled with treats and toys. She taught groups of scouts and homeschoolers about the history of the Ohlone in our area -- we still find bits of shells in Indian Springs Park where she taught us to look. She'd invite the neighborhood kids and their friends to swim in their pool. At one of our 4th of July block parties Betsy was recognized by state senator Jerry Hill for her contribution to the community. Ken and Betsy set the tone for how to be good neighbors, and we remember them both fondly.
