Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Valley Baptist Church in Milbank. Rev. Dennis Webber will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Milbank Cemetery. Musicians will be Betty DeBoer, pianist and Heather Schwenn, violinist. Jacquelynn Arvilla Korn was born on January 16, 1930, in Litchfield, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Tolbert and Marjorie Berge. Jacquelynn married the love of her life, Jack Edward DuClos and they were blessed with three children. Jack died unexpectedly at the age of 45. Jackie worked for many years as an Avon District Manager with 165 representatives reporting to her. She had several jobs after retiring from Avon. She worked at St. William's Care Center as part of the kitchen staff, KCGN radio station in their sales department, and she later owned her own ceramic shop called "Grandma's Attic" in Big Stone City, SD. Jackie loved lighthouses, which was the first subject she painted while she and her daughter took painting lessons. She enjoyed many other hobbies such as knitting, crocheting, and working with stained glass. Faith, family and friends were a very important part of Jackie's life. Like her mother Nan, she felt led by the Holy Spirit to tell people about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his gift of Eternal Life. She said she was blessed to be able to spend so much time with her granddaughter Brandi, great-grandson Isaiah and her sister Carole. She was a faithful member of Valley Baptist Church in Milbank, SD. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Bruce (Kathy) DuClos of Isle, Minnesota; Robin (Pete) Knauer of Dennison, Minnesota; and Rick (Sue) DuClos of West Plains, Missouri; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, of whom she was very proud; and her sister, Carole (Harley) Woodward, of Milbank. Preceding her in death were her parents Marjorie and Tolbert Berge; and her former husband, Jack DuClos.
