Elizabeth Bowles Obituary
GREENSBORO — Elizabeth Anne Bowles (Betsy), 46, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 10:29 p.m.
Betsy passed away at Moses Cone Hospital from Cardiac arrest. She is preceded in death by her father Wade Anderson Bowles and her brother David Paige Bowles. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Flynn Bowles, two daughters Erin and Jennifer Morgan and brother, Andy Bowles, sister in law Delane Bowles and Lisa Bowles, niece and nephews, Ryan, Scott, Ashley and Alex Bowles and Elana Funkhouser a very dear family friend.
Betsy was an active member of Adams Farm Community Church. She had served many years caring for others as a registered nurse in the hospital, hospice and a nursing home. In her youth she enjoyed horse back riding and eventually hosting competitive horse shows in Winston Salem, NC. Betsy also enjoyed family vacations at Wrightsville Beach with her two daughters. Her servant heart was evident to those her knew her best.
A church service in memory of Betsy will be held Saturday September 25, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Adams Farm Community Church, 5113 Mackay Rd, Jamestown NC 27282.
Contributions can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405 or to Adams Farm Community Church.
Betsy's family would also like to thank Moses Cone Hospital ICU 2100 staff for the special and professional care they provided for her over the past five days.

I worked with Betsy at Hospice. She was such a wonderful nurse and person.Betsy will be missed and I will have the family in my prayers.

I will always remember Betsy's genuine, wide-open energetic self aboard her beloved Gussum, racing over jumps and around the pasture. She always made sure that everyone at the barn was having a great time. May she rest in peace.
