CHITWOOD, Elizabeth Anne, age 23 of Winchester, passed away at 3 p.m. CDT on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, due to complications from a pulmonary embolism. Beth was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decherd. She was a vibrant young woman who lived every aspect of her life to its fullest. She loved traveling, reading and had a deep love for her cat, Tybalt. Beth was the salutatorian of the Franklin County High School Class of 2011, and graduated as a Buchanan Scholar and with honors from MTSU in 2015. She had just completed her first year at Vanderbilt Law School where she was a member of the Law Review. Beth had a love for traveling, seeing new places and meeting new people which gave her the opportunity to study abroad. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Beth is survived by her parents Madolyn Cofer Chitwood and Scott Chitwood of Estill Springs; sister Emily Chitwood of Cookeville; paternal grandmother, Wilma Chitwood of Oneida; uncles, aunts and cousins, Rick and Nancy Chit-wood (Cory and Caitlyn) of Powell, Bo and Bettye Cofer (Rex and Jonna) of Winder, Ga., Don Cofer of Decherd, Dennis and Jackie Cofer (Tim, Katy, Kara and Matt), Gennie and Wayne McDonald (Tilly, Tara, Mitchell and Jana) of Gainesville, Ga., Randy and Cathy Cofer (Laura and Lacy); her devoted boyfriend Zach Dresch; and numerous other family members and many, many friends. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Watson-North Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at noon with Bruce Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Watson-North Memorial Park in Winchester.
