you are missed, my dear friend!

I met Betsy when I started work at WHS in 1988. We became good friends through the years and often did things together. Most recently we talked on the phone weekly as she battled for her health. I miss you every day, dear friend.

Betsy was my lifelong friend, from the time we were toddlers, pen pals, high school students, pen pals again, and Florida visitors. She had the best sense of humor and we always laughed together. Even though we only lived in Middletown together for a couple years I miss knowing that I can't just write to her and we will get caught up on everything. My sympathies to Steve and Chris.

Betsy was my mentor and friend. She was the most endearing, smart and wickedly funny woman I have known. She loved her family deeply. Betsy singled me out and nurtured my career and professional growth and I am forever indebted to her. I will never forget her cute smile, positive attitude, smart-as-a-whip intelligence and profound grace. I love you Betsy. You made a significant mark in the world and impacted the lives of so many people you served especially those in schools and education. May you rest in peace dear friend. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family and friends.
