Elizabeth Louise (Rauch) Grant, born October 24, 1925, passed away on May 15, 2017. Born in Newbury, Ohio, she married Charles J. Grant right out of high school. She traveled the world as an Air Force wife and mother of two girls, Barbara Jean Grant and Joann Grant (later Joann Laughlin).
Finally, the Grants decided to retire to sunny Florida in 1968. Many more adventures were to come; a flea market business and the birth of two grandchildren, Jason Laughlin and Sarah Elizabeth Grant. The years flew by.
She was widowed in 1984; and then became active in many charities and organizations, including the MS Society, Second Harvest Food Bank, the VFW, The Salvation Army, the Girl Scouts, and so many more. She joined two ladies Bowling Leagues, and later a Bunko club. She found good hard work and comfort in gardening; her goal – “the perfect yard.”
Her advancing age never kept her from traveling, driving, or doing the things she loved. While she did not call any particular church her home, she frequently talked to Our Heavenly Father, the Angels, and especially our Loved Ones Above; asking them to always guide us and support us.
Both her daughters have predeceased her, but she leaves behind both her grandchildren, her son-in-law, Francis Laughlin, and many relatives in Ohio and Tennessee. She was our Matriarch, the strong will that held us together, and she will be greatly missed.
The family would especially like to thank her neighbors, Jim, Ava, and Jennifer Burns and also Pat Wilder and Hilary Funk, for their care and support all these years. You have been a special blessing.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 27 at Baldwin Fairchild East Altamonte, 994 E Altamonte Dr., Altamonte Springs. Gathering to begin at 1:30 pm with Service at 2:00pm. Inurnment will follow at All Faiths Memorial Park, 1390 Park Dr., Casselberry.
Arrangements are under the care of Baldwin Fairchild, an honored Dignity Memorial provider.

For those asking about flowers and such:
Flowers would be wonderful! Something small is even better. Her colours are lavender, pinks, and pastels, and she loved butterflies.
Other:
If you would rather donate to a charity in her name.....the MS Society or Second Harvest Food Bank.
Of course, donations and flowers are not mandatory. Your presence or kind thoughts/prayers are enough to honor her and her family. Thank you.
