Many years ago my brothers and I visited with my grandparents each summer in Sleepy Hollow.
As they lived next door to Fred and Binker, we often played with them. I remember they were a lot of fun to be around. I recall the family enjoyed nature and in fact Binker had a pet racoon. Fred owned a turtle as well as a snake.
I am very sorry she has passed on.

A wonderful lady and comrade in SFnal arms. Rose-marie and I send our deepest regrets and best wishes to her family, and to the rest of the fannish community, who will miss this grand person forever.

I knew her from amateur writing. She was in the Southern Fandom Press Association, where we exchanged our own personal publications. Also, I corresponded with her by email. Twice, we actually met and, once, I spoke to her over the phone. Witty, intelligent and interesting are what sums her up. It was pity many of her ambitions never came to fruition. It was also a pity she was a less than a year younger than me when she died. Rest in peace.

I remember Binker - and Fred- too from my days at Northwestern and appreciated knowing her. My condolences to her family. I'm sure she will be missed greatly.

I am one of the cousins mentioned in the obituary and so have known Binker all my life. Summer visits to our grandparents in Sleepy Hollow, holidays spent in Middletown. Binker was clever, mischievous, funny and smart beyond description. The family historian and archivist and a bit of a pack rat. The world is a much better place for her having been in it and lessened by her passing.

Requiesce in pace, dear cousin.

I met Binker at UK when she was a graduate assistant teaching the symbolic logic class I was taking. We were both from Louisville and became friends. I so remember going to dinner at her parents house in Anchorage, Ky with all the taxidermy in the dining room. She never talked me into going wild caving but I have always enjoyed the more sedate show caves. We lost touch after she went to Georgia to continue her PhD studies. I enjoyed her friendship and was saddened to hear of her passing. My condolences to her family and friends.
